WHAT DOES YOUR BLOG NAME MEAN?
I knew that naming my blog would be an extremely important decision. I threw around a couple different ideas but so many were already taken by blogs that haven't been updated in years... talk about discouraging. When it came down to picking a name, I knew I wanted it to have something to do with the South or Memphis and how this is my new home. One day, out of the blue, it came to me. "Ten Feet Off Beale" comes from the song Walking in Memphis.I thought this was a good tribute.

MY BLOGS PURPOSE?

Starting a blog was something I had contemplated for a while. Pretty much since I moved to Memphis about a year ago. I was leaving my family and friends and moving to an entirely new place. I knew that I would be learning, growing, and creating memories. I felt like I needed a place to document and remember all the amazing experiences I was having and give everyone back home a way to check in on my life and see what I was up to whenever they wanted.

Recently, I have seen several bloggers who have decided to stop blogging. This got me thinking. It is important to always remember the reason for starting your blog and to never let it get to the point where you don't enjoy it. I'm not doing this for the number of followers (although you guys are awesome). I'm also not doing this to promote any business or make money or anything. I'm doing this for fun and if it ever isn't fun anymore, that's when I'll stop. But for now, I'm having a blast!
