Ok, I think it's about time that I start writing some posts about the very best day ever: our wedding day!! It's crazy to think that Jeremy and I been married just over two months now. Sometimes it feels like the wedding was yearssss ago, other times it feels like it was just yesterday.
I'll be honest, I've had a hard time deciding where to start!! There are so many (so so so many) absolutely amazing pictures that I am tempted to share them all at once... but I won't :)
Every single wedding picture is so special and meaningful to me. Not only do they capture the day Jeremy and I became man and wife, but they're also special because our wedding weekend was one of the last times I saw my Dad. My Dad was able to walk me down the aisle, dance with me, give the most incredible speech, and do everything else a father is supposed to do on his daughter's wedding day. It hurts that we lost him only a few weeks after our wedding, but the memories I have with him from my wedding are so treasured and always will be.
With that being said, I think I will start at the beginning. Since Downtown Memphis is where Jeremy and I fell in love, we thought it would be the perfect place for us to say "I do". After searching for a venue, the Peabody Hotel was without a doubt the best option for us. Since I am from New Jersey, a whooooole lot of guests were not from the Memphis area so it was extremely convenient to have all of the wedding events located at the hotel, or within walking distance.
If you read my blog or know me at all, you probably know that Central BBQ is pretty much my favorite Memphis restaurant. The downtown location is walking (or trolley ride) distance from the Peabody, so we just had to have our rehearsal dinner there! I wanted to show all my New Jersey visitors where to get the best (in my opinion) most authentic Memphis barbecue.
So here you have it!! The pictures from our rehearsal dinner!!
I want to give a huge thank you to my cousin and her fiance for taking so many pictures this night!! Pictures were the furthest things from my mind and now I'm glad we have these moments captured :)
After we rehearsed what we were supposed to be, we headed over to Central BBQ!
It may not look like much, but the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner were so perfect, so us, and exactly what we wanted. It was fun and casual. I loved that we were able to just hang out with those closest to us at one of our favorite places.
Some things aren't pictured that are worth mentioning!! Jeremy's Mom and Dad did so much for this dinner. There were adorable centerpieces on all the tables and they even put together a fun table of Southern treats. There were things like Moonpies and Bud's Best Cookies. It was a very cute touch :)
Oh man, I can't waitttttt to show you guys the pictures from the actual wedding!! They are absolutely beautiful.
Here's a little peak at what's coming next!!
This looks absolutely perfect! Obviously, being from the south I love the southern touches, but I especially love that you incorporated it in for your out of town guests. And you look incredibly happy in these pictures! Congrats again!
