At least once each winter Memphis gets a crazy ice storm. No snow... just ice. The city shuts down. I'm not complaining! I'm glad people stay off the slick roads, plus, I think Downtown Memphis is so beautiful covered in icicles. Jeremy and I bundled up and went for a walk yesterday. Yes, it was cold, but oh so pretty!
I have beautiful icicles hanging off my trees right now...plus my office decided to call a snow day today. So I'd say I'm pretty happy! LOVE that shot with the bicycle!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! We just had an ice storm (no snow) in North Carolina last night. Some things are still open but I had off which was joyous! But the ice is scary; a quarter inch thick sitting on top of everything. Looks pretty so long as I can sit inside and enjoy it from my couch :)
ReplyDeleteisn't the ice SO pretty :) i just love it. it makes me miss my Indiana roots. I currently live in Starkville, MS. (huge climate shift) HAHA
ReplyDeleteyou're adorable all bundled up.
These are great photos. My last Winter in Memphis was the Ice Storm of 94 and I remember, as a 6th grader, loving all of the snow and time off from school. Now that I live in Pittsburgh, snow has just become an annoyance but these photos remind me of a simpler time:)
ReplyDeleteIts so pretty though isnt it? Love these pics!
