Tradition

Every year on the first day of school for as long as I can remember my mom baked us brownies. Even when I was in college I received some homemade brownies in the mail on the first day of classes. It's one of the many memories that I love about my childhood. 

Well, since yesterday was the boy's first day at a new job, I baked him some brownies!! Peppermint Patty Brownies to be exact.. not trying to one-up you Mom, I swear. I was just feeling a little creative. 

and since it's Halloween time, the Peppermint Patties are orange... festive and delicious!
