Memphis and music just go together. It's no surprise then that in Memphis there is no shortage of live music venues. Especially in the summer. There are numerous spots to bring a picnic and some friends and enjoy a summer breeze (sometimes) and some good music (always).
One of my favorite Memphis events in the summer is the Live at the Garden concert series at the Memphis Botanic Garden. The venue is beautiful. The lawn has these huge gorgeous trees with string lights between them and everyone sets up blankets and chairs, they bring picnic baskets and coolers, and just spend the evening under the stars.
Yarnell's Ice Cream sent my husband and I to the first Live at the Garden concert of the season, Heart, this weekend. It was so fun! We were comfortable in our camping chairs and spent the evening singing along to the classic ballads and tunes we both love. We brought some Gus's Fried Chicken and overall had a lovely and super fun evening.
The best part? There are four more concerts left! We may or may not already have REO Speedwagon written in our calendar...

The beauty of the space and food get 5 juicy stars. The place was built with class! I'm no critic, but this venue Houston makes you appreciate design and aesthetics. I went to two events here. Both times, I had a great experience.
