It's hard to believe it has been 10 years. I will never forget that day. I grew up in New Jersey about 40 minutes outside of Manhattan. I was in the 8th grade. All of a sudden, crying teachers were leading all the unknowing students into the church for a prayer service. My class was the oldest in the school. We had all the younger children looking up to us. We had no idea what was going on. The pastor of our church got up and started explaining what little he knew. We could see the smoke from the buildings.
The thought of what actually happened is hard to grasp now, it was near impossible as a 13 year old. As I get older and we remember that day it's more and more emotional for me. Fortunately, I did not know anyone directly affected by this tragedy, but I saw a lot of heartbreak living so close
