The Red String of Fate

A few months ago I got an email about a custom embroidery hoop. The man who sent me the email wanted to get a gift for his fiance to give to her at their rehearsal dinner. He told me about a Japanese legend in which the gods tie a red string around the little fingers of those who are destined to meet each other in a particular situation or help each other in a certain way. He wanted two hoops to depict this legend.

We went back and forth for a little while to get the details, and this is what I created for him. I sweet reminder that they were destined to meet each other and be together forever.

I'm so happy I was given the opportunity to make these special hoops!
