There's a special new donut now available in the Ten Feet Off Beale Etsy Shop... a Patriotic Donut! They will only be available through the summer and they make the perfect gifts for a thoughtful Fourth of July happy.

There are play donuts for a child's play kitchen, catnip donuts for your four legged friends, and even tiny donut brooches that will add the perfect flair to any outfit this summer.

Hint: I like to use the play donuts as decoration! I keep a cake stand on my kitchen table and fill it with donuts that go with the season.

Ten Feet Off Beale Shop - Catnip Donuts

If you follow along on Instagram, you've already heard the news... there are some new items listed in my Etsy shop... Catnip Donuts!

Now, you can find play donuts for kiddos and kitties! I'm pretty excited about this, and to be honest, so is our cat, Dexter. These donuts are absolutely stuffed with catnip and he lovesss them. They're slightly smaller than the life-size play donuts I have available for the kids making them the perfect size for your furry friends.


Ok, I'm going to let you in on a little shop secret. Since I have something for kids and now cats in my shop, the next thing is something for you! I may or may not be working on a special wearable donut accessory. Eeeep! There will be a sneak peek soon on Instagram!! I just have to work out a few details first.

Felt Donut Valentine & A Free Printable

Ten Feet Off Beale Shop -- Now Serving Donuts

Yes, you read that right, the Ten Feet Off Beale Etsy Shop has expanded and is now serving felt play donuts!

In addition to embroidery hoops, I'm hand stitching felt donuts. They're perfect for any little's play kitchen or simply decorating around the house! It all started when I made a few for my niece for Christmas. She just loves her "nonuts" and I am positive that others will find hours of joy with these fun felt donuts.

One more announcement!!! From now until the end of February, I have a special Limited Edition Valentine Donut listed in the shop. Not only are these donuts super cute for Valentine's Day, but also for every donut purchased, I will be donating a portion of the profits to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

What I'm Stitching // Fall

Ever since I started the official Ten Feet Off Beale Shop instagram account (@shop_tenfeetoffbeale), I've pretty much stopped sharing my embroidery stuff anywhere else. I thought that maybe I would start a little segment over here with fun shop updates and things that I'm currently working on.

Over the past few weeks, it's been all about Autumn. It most definitely still feels like Summer around here, but that doesn't mean I can't urge Mother Nature to send us some Fall weather by stitching some fun Fall hoops. This time of year, I love using colors inspired by Autumnal leaves. That means, lots of oranges, yellows, and greens.

I especially love the slice of pumpkin pie necklace I stitched up!! I mean, a huge part of Autumn is all things pumpkin spice... right? You will see this around my neck most days during Fall andddd you better believe I will be wearing this on Thanksgiving.

All these seasonal pieces are now posted in my shop! So, is anything else you'd like to see?

Oxford Maker's Market - This Saturday!

I have been stitching embroidery hoops like crazy lately because this Saturday, I will be packing up my inventory and heading down to the Oxford Maker's Market in Oxford, Mississippi. This will be the first time Ten Feet Off Beale will have a tent at a market like this!! I'm super excited andddd a little nervous, but I know it will be a great time.

I just checked the weather forecast and it is supposed to be an absolutely gorgeous fall day. The perfect day to head down to Oxford, Mississippi and mosey around the beautiful town square, at the Oxford Maker's Market, of course! Did I mention there will be live music? Yep. It will definitely be a fun time.

So, not only will I be there with my husband (duh) but Midtown Glassworks will also be there! They're really good friends of ours that you might remember being mentioned on this here blog last year. Check out the post I wrote to see a little behind the scenes of the gorgeous glass art they create.

Ten Feet Off Beale Shop... on Instagram!

It's been a while since I've talked about it on this here blog, but I wanted to quickly mention that in addition to this little blog of mine, I have an Etsy shop! That's right, that little button up on the top right of this page will bring you there!

Skateland

This is probably one of my most favorite things I've done. In person this Skateland sign is so incredible!

Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to enjoy Skateland in it's heyday but I would bet it was awesome. (Does anybody have any good stories???) I'm just happy that this incredible sign is still standing even though this building is no longer the roller rink it once was.

Cotton Tails

Once again, blogging has given me an opportunity I might not have had otherwise. I am popping in today to share that you can now find Ten Feet Off Beale hand embroidery at Cotton Tails, an adorrrrable children's boutique in the Laurelwood Shopping Center.

So, if you wanted a sweet sweater for a little boy or girl, go to Cotton Tails! I am stitching custom sweaters with names or monograms on sweaters as well as bloomers for baby girls only available there.

There is also a Baby's First Noel ornament available there that I don't have listed in my Etsy shop!

Memphis Moms, if you've never shopped at Cotton Tails your absolutely missing out. It's way too cute.

Grit & Grind

It's no secret, this town is a basketball town. Between the Tigers and the Grizzlies, it would be hard to find a Memphian who couldn't have an intelligent conversation about basketball. I stitched up a few Grizzlies hoops recently and thought that if anyone would appreciate some Grizzlies artwork, it would be Memphians. People love this team!

I'm thinking of taking one of these to work to hang in my cubicle.

Happy February! I stitched up these little Valentine's and now have them listed in my shop :)

So far, 2015 has been one for the books. There are some pretty awesome things happening behind the scenes around here that I cannot wait to share!! February is looking like it will be one very love-ly month.


 

Ten Feet Off Beale Holiday Shop - Now Open!!

Better late than never, right? Christmas ornament hoops are now listed in my shop! Last Christmas, I stitched hoop ornaments on a made-to-order basis (meaning as people ordered them, I made them). All that did was stress me out completely. This year, I'm going to stitch then up, then list them.

This means your hoops won't be rushed anddddd they'll be in the mail within a few days... as opposed to waiting for me to stitch them.

I have plans on stitching some more, so keep checking the shop or Instagram for updates :)

Go Team Go!

You may have noticed this on Instagram a little while back, but I stitched up this sweet War Eagle hoop to decorate during football season. This hoop is just the beginning of the several other team spirit embroidery hoops I have in the works that will be posted on Etsy soon! Pretty excited about this. Halloween is almost here!! I've already eaten my weight in candy corn (don't judge), watched Hocus Pocus several times, and, of course, stitched up a cute Halloween themed embroidery hoop!

Happy Fall Y'all

Yes, I realize it's August. I am in no way rushing summer, but I couldn't help stitching up these hoops in preparation for Fall! Fall means boots, sweaters, cool air, and pumpkin spice. I mean, what is there not to love about that?

Anyways, these hoops are now in my shop and they are just waitttting to be added to a pretty fall mantel or gallery wall :)

Things are always so much better when you put your heart into it. Sometimes I need this reminder. Especially when it comes to blogging. It's not about growing numbers, it's about growing as an individual. It's not about checking things off a list, it's about going out and having experiences that are worth remembering.

Home Sweet Home

I don't have much to say today, I just wanted to check in and share this cute new hoop that I stitched up! It feels really good to be stitching again. I never realllly stopped, I just stopped coming up with new patterns. I've found some inspiration and it feels good to be back!

I Love Memphis

 
I'm still upset that my brackets are completely worthless and my favorite teams are out of the NCAA Tournament, BUT this cute hoop is getting me through it. This miiiiiight be one of my favorites. Then again, I might be a little bit biased.

One of my favorite things to do is make custom hoops! People are so creative and area always challenging me to think outside the box a little bit. I had the honor of making this special hoop for someone. Not going to lie, I was a little bit nervous at first when this was requested, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!
