Last week was a pretty crummy week (hence the lack of blog posts around here). So, on Saturday, Jeremy really want to lift our spirits. Without telling me where we were going, we hopped in the car and he drove us out to the Levitt Shell. This was where he asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. Since the weather was absolutely beatuiful, he expected that we would just sit and talk and just spend time being with each other, something we both desperately needed.
Well, that didn't quite go according to plan. To our surprise, when we pulled up to the Shell, there was a Bark in the Park event going on! It was being run by the Greyhound adoption association here in Memphis and it was exactly what we needed. There was live music, lots of pups, and warm sunshine. We grabbed a spot on a bench and just hung out listening to some of our favorite rockabilly music (lots of Elvis, Johnny Cash, and even some Beatles!), talking, and just watching all the dogs play.
I only wish Harrison was there with us!!
I think Bark in the Park is so cute. I'd totally go every year except it'd make me depressed that I don't have a puppy, even though I really want one!
