Must Eat Memphis: Miss Polly's

As a northerner, the first time I heard the phrase "chicken and waffles" I was perplexed. I mean, fried chicken and a breakfast waffle absolutely do not go together. Or do they. Well, ever since Jeremy and I first met he's mentioned how much he loves chicken and waffles. So, we found a hole in the wall on world famous Beale Street that has some pretty killer chicken and waffles.

I highly suggest stopping into Miss Polly's and having some!! Whether you eat them like I do, with just some maple syrup, or you go all out like Jeremy with hot sauce andddd maple syrup (weird sounding but apparently it's amazing), you won't be disappointed by this southern meal.

Don't forget to order a fried pie for dessert!!

PS. Their mac and cheese was also pretty great.

  2. Miss Polly's is amazing! Definitely my favorite place to eat on Beale - and where I take all my out of town visitors!

  3. I'm a northern too (from upstate NY) who now lives in Nashville. I just can't bring myself to eat chicken and waffles. Then again, I don't even like fried chicken by itself.
