#AVeryLongWedding: The Ceremony

The wedding ceremony. The part I was most looking forward to. I dreamed of looking into Jeremy's eyes and saying our marriage vows since the ring was first put on my finger (and even before that). This was it. The moment we had been waiting for. Becoming husband and wife.

From the moment my Dad walked me down the aisle until Jeremy and I said "I do" (and every moment before and after) was truly perfect. I wouldn't have changed one thing.

Throughout the wedding planning process, I enjoyed planning all the little details and making them special and meaningful. For instance, my flowers were wrapped in a piece of my Mom's wedding dress (the sleeve actually) and the ring bearer pillow had a piece of my grandmother's wedding dress attached. Not only that, but the ring bearer pillow was actually an embroidery hoop! A few little details that took everything up a notch and made our day absolutely our day.

I opted out of the traditional "Here Comes the Bride" while walking down the aisle and decided to go with "Love Me Tender" by Elvis played by a string quartet. It was a little detail that put a personal spin our our ceremony and made it more "us".
