Christmas Is Here

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone (is anyone else still stuffed?), it's time to officially get into the Christmas spirit!

Using the "When the Night Comes" dress from ModCloth, I put together a dream outfit to wear to a fabulous Christmas shindig. ModCloth truly has some amazing items with vintage flair. You know I love that! I especially love the pop of red these adorable gloves bring into the mix! Now how can I make this magically appear in my closet?

Happy Turkey Day, everyone!! I hope you're all stuffing your faces with your families!

Since it's Thanksgiving, I'd like to take this time to share some things I'm thankful for this year!
 

My Fiance - My life has changed for the better when he came into my life.

My Family - It's hard being far away, but I'm thankful I get to spend holidays with them.My Friends - Through thick or thin, they're always there for me.
Coffee - Does this need an explanation?
My Bible - Everyday I learn something new.
Blogging - I'm thankful everyday for this amazing world of blogging. I've met extraordinary people and so many wonderful doors have opened for me.
My View - I feel truly blessed every time I look out my window. I love where I live!
Gibson's donuts - My world changed when I took that first bite.
Sweatpants - What can I say, it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Meet Lauren

Will you guys do me a favor? Two favors actually. 

First, pleassseeee send positive thoughts our way! We're heading up to New Jersey to spend Thanksgiving with my family... BUT there is some crazy weather in the area. I'm hoping that we can get there and back without any cancelled flights.

Meet Alfred

Who is Alfred? The newest member of our family and my very special holiday helper. He's only been with us a few days and we (both Jeremy and I) are head over heels in love.



Alfred is our brand new Braava 380t robot from iRobot. He's both a dry and wet floor mop and he's perfect for us since our condo is pretty much entirely hard wood floors. Before he arrived, pretty much every other day one of us got out the mop and a microfiber cloth and swept up all the dust. I don't know where it all comes from but it's so much better when the floors sparkle.

Now, all we have to do is turn Alfred on and he goes to work! It's wonderful!

Here are some things the Braava 380t robot from iRobot features:
• Two Cleaning Modes for Damp And Dry Cleaning: Uses either disposable cleaning cloths, including Swiffer brand or Braava’s specially designed reusable microfiber cloths.

Yeah, he's pretty perfect. Alfred, our Braava 380t robot from iRobot, has been a great addition to our family and would make an amazing Christmas gift for anyone you know who owns a home and needs a little helper.

I don't have to spend all my time sweeping up our floors! Little Alfred does all that work for me. I can now spend the holidays doing more important things.

I was given a Braava 3807 robot from iRobot in exchange for my honest opinion.

We're Engaged!!

Well, you already knew that. We got engaged back in March! However, we fiiinally got around to taking some engagement photos. It took us a while to get all our ducks in a row. We needed to set a date and find a photographer and both we did! Can I just say, I'm pretty sure we have the best photographer there is? We had an amazing experience taking these pictures. There were some very special places to us that we wanted to capture. We went to the Levitt Shell which is where Jeremy proposed, around South Main which is where we live, and the rooftop of our building!

If you're looking for a killllller photographer, might I suggest Jon Sharman.

Ok ok okkkkkk enough of me talking, I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves!!

I Gained Fifty Pounds in Pittsburgh

  
Ok, maybe not fifty pounds, but I feel like all we did was eat while we were in the 'Burgh! Seriously, it was awesome. I love going to new cities and eating all the good local food and Pittsburgh definitely had it's fair share of good food.

For Jeremy's 30th birthday all he wanted was to go to Pittsburgh and see a Penguins game. Over a year later we finally got around to planning a trip to Pennsylvania. Things have been going pretty great for Ten Feet Off Beale lately!! So many doors have been opening for this little blog of mine. Remember last week when I posted about the special hoop I made depicting the Thousand Islands? Well, the editor of Thousand Islands Life, an online magazine, got a Google alert that I had mentioned the 1000 Islands. She asked for permission to publish my hoop in their newest issue of the magazine! Of course, I said yes!!

I was so happy to make this special hoop and I'm even happier that I can share it with people who know and love the Thousand Islands.

Downtown Dining Week

  
I don't know about you, but I've been looking forward to Downtown Dining Week pretty much since last year!
